In reply to the discussion: Please prepare... I give it 6 months [View all]Things are not looking good on the job market. However, I am fortunate to have been able to plan for this so I'm likely in a better position than many others I know (including my colleague who was laid off with me).

I was "downsized" shortly before 9/11. The entire job market clenched after that.
