44. I was "downsized" shortly before 9/11. The entire job market clenched after that.

I have an appreciation of what you're going though or thinking about possibly going through. I'm still here though. It wasn't easy and I certainly had to pinch every penny. My favorite line at the time time was "how long is this character building going to take?" Still makes me shiver to be honest.

But then I go back to the "I'm still here though." Helps if you have a good support system. I guess I built a lot of character too.
