(33,807 posts)23. When I was little, the dress code for girls and women..
was pretty strict.
I wore uniforms to school for 12 years, and we had
to cover our heads in church. Only dresses, not
pants.
When I was a junior or senior in college, the codes
finally started to loosen. Hippie clothes were
especially cool -- bell bottoms, halter tops, hot
pants, and cool hats.
I guess this is putting me into a bout of nostalgia
now.
