3. Every government that works for it's people will have elements of socialism in it.

It makes sense. You vote candidates in to work for the people they represent, and you pay taxes to provide the money to allow government to do the job you voted them in to do.
In our Constitutional Democratic Republic, the government is expected to do this. The government is expected to help people who can't help themselves; to assist those who need help; to serve the common good. It's just common sense. The stronger the nation is as a whole, the better off we'll all be. The more we help each other, the more we help ourselves in the long run.

This is essentially a modified socialistic model, and it works quite well when applied with love and compassion.
Our current republican government has neither love or compassion. They're a greedy bunch that only wants the government to work for them, at the expense of others.
It's the antithesis of of everything we claim to believe in.
And now we are seeing the beginning of a move back toward the expectation we have always had for our government officials...that they work for us, not us working for them.
