No surprise for this gentleman to time his announcement on a day when Dems are celebrating a complete electoral wipeout of the Republicans.

But his news isn't the bummer for Democrats he probably thinks it is. First, I think we can win that district with an actual liberal; second, even if not, it won't matter for House control in 2026—still a year away, but fairly clear Democrats have the upper hand. To say the least.
