Republicans are falling all over themselves to hype Trump for bringing prices down because the Walmart Thanksgiving basket is cheaper this year, but...

It is a different basket. It has fewer items, different items, and different brands.

For example, last year had a premade pie. No pie this year. No muffin mix this year. No marshmallows, raw onions, or whipped topping. And instead of last year's cranberry sauce, just cranberries.

So, yes, when you sell fewer items, it costs less, but that doesn't mean life has become any more affordable.

The kicker is that they're talking about how cheap the turkey is this year, but it was actually cheaper last year.
