They need to move the goalposts:

"The election results are clear. The American people do not support anything Republicans are doing. Any settlement must include these things: reinstatement of all Inspectors General with guaranteed independence from administration interference, a clear declaration from Congress that the President has no power to set tariffs, a freeze on all ICE hiring and a freeze on any national guard deployments without the agreement of the affected Governor. and appointment of a special counsel to investigate any threats by Trump to punish states and cities by illegally withholding funds."

We won't get all these things, but the Republicans will squeal like pigs and that will help educate the public.
