The BIG THING about linux is that you can shop around for some distribution that looks and works damn close to how you like it to,
AND, you can change it!
Since the source code is visible to all users, including those power hackers, someone undoubtedly has tweaked any particular distribution "their way" so you can search for a special tweak (or ask here or some other forum or search the web).
