Nationalizing hospitals would address one of the root problems of health care costs AND would ensure a fair distribution of services, which currently doesn't exist.

Utility companies (electric, gas) don't have the same free market pressures like other industries, which is why they require something like a corporation commission to control pricing. Consumers generally have no choice in who they get their power and gas from, so nationalizing the industry and running them as non profits just makes economic sense and would put money in the pockets of American families.

The airline industry is already massively subsidized, why not have a national carrier and let the private companies compete with regional and commuter flights? The price reductions and simplification if flights would stimulate the economy and save Americans money.
