2. What comes from a "deal" like this is a poor public opinion and more losing.

One can list all the ways the public is ignorant or wrong to have that poor opinion until one is blue in the face, their poor opinion will not be moved by one's listing.

The only way to win with a performance like this is as a "not these current motherfuckers" vote -- which only lasts one cycle because next time one is the incumbent and gets ousted by the same principle.
