The resolution directs the House committee to make public unclassified records related to Epstein.
Specifies types of records: The types of records to be released include those about his detention and death, flight logs, names of individuals connected to his criminal activities, immunity or plea deals, and internal Department of Justice communications concerning his case.
Includes redaction guidelines: The committee can withhold or redact information that contains victims' personally identifiable information, child sexual abuse materials, images of abuse, or information that could jeopardize an active investigation. It cannot withhold information based on embarrassment or political sensitivity.
Supports ongoing investigation: The resolution explicitly states support for the committee's subpoenas and investigatory actions and encourages timely compliance.
