Trump definitely was the surviving partner. Was that just good luck or is there more to the "suicide" story? We'll probably never know the full story about that.

But as far as continuing the sex ring, well, Trump has never been very smart of a very hard worker. We at least have to acknowledge that Epstein worked his ass off to make numbers like he did. Trump could never manage anything like this. Remember, everything Trump touched, dies.

So I don't believe he is trying to keep that ring alive, or bring the franchise back by letting Maxwell out of prison. At this stage, Trump has a much better extortion gig going with the tariff machine. So his main interest now is remaining President for 3 more years so he can run the tariff extortion racket, the crypto scams, selling classified information, the meme coins and everything else he is doing to enrich himself off of his position.
