(37,493 posts)A small portion of those advocating for the rights of Palestinians were also engaging in or supporting vandalism. That does not mean the "rights of Palestinians" people (as a whole) were actively supporting the vandals.
And yes, she was tone deaf on a couple of issues. Palestinians were actively negotiating for a voice on the stage at the convention and, to my understanding, were never formally told they would not be able to participate. Inviting their voice would have gone a long way, not only to demonstrating a distance from Biden's policy - but listening to their voices. Doing so, (just like listening to black voices, women's voices LGBTQI voices, and Jewish voices), brings a much broader perspective in policy discussions and messaging - a voice that was sadly lacking in the Harris campaign.
She was also tone deaf on pocketbook economy v. wall street economy.
Those are two populations which stayed home in larger percentages than usual, and could easily have made the difference in who is president now.
