In reply to the discussion: 'Not a damned penny!' 'Abandoned' Texas flood survivors prepare to clash with officials [View all]Yellowdog88
(69 posts)10. For once,
How about a story reviewing how:
-State Farm took care of their policy holders
-Allstate
-Liberty Mutual
-GEICO
I see so god-damned many quippy commercials about them and no one ever holds them to account for their skeevy response. FEMA should be on hand to coordinate response, issue loans, provide immediate needs, food/shelter, etc.
Insurance is supposed to ultimately help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible.
FEMA should be there to hold THEM to account.
Instead, policies are undercut, eliminated and the rest of us get higher premiums to help assure their tidy fucking profit.
Any democrat want to take that idea and run with it??

OP
FEMA funds that could have helped survivors are now used to pay ICE thugs and build Alligator Auschwitz.

Exactly, the typical homeowner's and tenant's insurance does NOT cover flood damage, in addition one can buy an excess

One bigger problem is that there are too many people making too much money from 'insurance'.

Hope most of them aren't shouting that with their MAGA hat on. Just makes you look really stupid.
