I think the case is primarily about LA being required to add a second minority-majority district (essentially guranteeing a second blue seat). It isn't that the state isn't red enough to go 6-0 (without even odd-looking districts) if the VRA continues its demise... but I'm not sure that even this court can do more than tell the state they are allowed to use the lines they drew before the court order.

They might be able to get away with moving to 6-0 after the 2030 census - but hopefully the courts have shifted by then.
