I am sorry, I understand that it is too early to know the motivations blah blah, but this stuff just has to be connected to the climate that the rethugs have engendered by and around that orange gibbon.

It damned sure isn't because these animals are seeking peace and justice. It is because, in their minds (or what passes for them anyway) they have been given permission to act up like this. They all think that Dear Leader will pardon them for going after elites, intellectuals, liberals, progressives, LBGTQA+, minorities, etc. because Dear Leader has indicated he does not like them. (As others here have pointed out, there are factions that have drunk the kool-aid who are literally voting against themselves when they vote for that hoot owl. But, they do it.)
