Sound sleep for more than an hour or two at a time is impossible. I am up 2-4 times doing PT exercises just to be able to lie back down. Can't tolerate the normal pain pills doctors reluctantly give.
Tried CBD oil and it isn't much help.Finally tried cannabis gummies. Not a big fan of THC but it did allow some sleep. Further experiments with formulas and levels brought progress and the occasional decent night's sleep. But only used when pain and exhaustion made me wish for death.
Tried different gummies with different formulas. Finally found a gummy that really helps without a list of side affects. The dosage is as follows:
each gummy:
10MG of CBG (a cannabis component I had not read about until I tried these & did some research)
10MG of CBD
1MG of THC
and...............50MG of Theanine
Researching the CBG component showed me it is a good pain reliever, with the usual pain management dosage being 60MG for bad pain. Being sensitive to other medicine, I started slow, only one gummy, and gradually increased dosage every few days, noting how I felt and any side effects. Found that only 3 of these lil gems really helps pretty bad pain (my pain tolerance is WAY above normal as I've had so much for so long, it takes me barely able to walk or sleep for a few days before I try any medicine)
Sleep is now possible, and I take at least one of these fairly regularly. Unlike the higher THC items, these do not make my mouth/throat so dry that I have to sip water all night, which definitely interferes with sleep.
Life is tolerable, again, even pleasant some days and I can get some household/yard chores done if I pace myself.
