The ACA already complies with the Hyde Amendment by not using federal subsidy money to cover abortions; states just add their own state money to cover abortions.

If the GOP objection is that some states cover abortion under the ACA with state funding, I think there is a way to finesse this so that the state is no longer paying for the abortion using the ACA mechanism but through a whole separate mechanism, like a state voucher.

That way, the Republicans in Congress can pander to their creepy forced birth base and say they got the ACA to stop paying for abortions (even though it never did pay for abortions) as a face saving gesture to allow the Republicans to vote to pass the ACA subsidy extension.
