you cannot tell the American people that the economy is great when healthcare costs are up, so many cannot afford to buy a home and increasingly cannot afford rent , college or a car. Groceries are up. There is zero job security. Wages have not kept up with inflation. People do not have money to retire with. Telling people their financial situation is good when for about half of the country it is not, is a great way to lose elections.
