142. The Apple War, a Swedish (I think) film from the 1970's.
Sun Aug 17, 2025, 02:54 PM
Sunday

About a small, previously neutral fairy tale island between Sweden and Germany "claimed" by a German industrialist to be turned into "Deutchneland" resort. And what the natives try to do to push back ...
Hilarious to a 12 year old book nerd in a "Mouse that Roared" way.

Other somewhat obscure/hard to find favorites - "The Fearless Vampire Killers".
Mel Brooks "Silent Movie" - a lot of people didn't like it.
Any of the old Alec Guinness comedies.

I also liked "The Last Starfighter" and "Warriors". Cheesy fun.
