This song feels like Sweet F.A.somewhat.
I loved these guys for a long time.
Give Us A Wink was a terrific album, but I have Desolation Boulevard in my Top 10 albums of all time.
There were 10 songs on that album. Every one of them could have been a hit single.
The 2 songs that were hits (Fox On The Run & Ballroom Blitz) are IMO, the 10th & 7th best songs on the album.
We were supposed to see them on the tour they canceled because Connolly got his throat damaged in a bar fight. We were bummed! As good a singer as Steve Priest was, I think they could have toured as a 3 piece (which they actually did several years later.)
They should have been bigger, but they got pushed as "bubble gum" for too long. Very underappreciated.
