I keep mustard, catsup, mayo in fridge because jars say refrigerate after opening.

My late husband kept mustard in the cabinet until he met me when he was 39, and I informed him that he could die from doing that.

The thing is, that after 20 years of not refrigerating mustard, plus 19 years before that living with his parents, he had never eaten cold mustard. And at that time he and his parents were alive and well!
