10. Same with Avast. I'm unable to cancel the auto-renewal of our subscription...

... and as it turns out the "free" version will suit our needs just fine without the bloat. The website confirms that I'm on an auto-renew, but I cannot cancel or modify for unknown reasons (please try again later). Avast and AVG are the same company now... so I suspect their renewal and payment policies are similar.

Good luck!

PS: In our home we're migrating away from Windows to Linux (at the encouragement / insistence of Mr Daisy.) So far, so good. Windows is dual-booted (dual-loaded?) on a desktop PC and we have access to it if it's absolutely necessary. But our day-to-day stuff is on Linux... so we really don't need to pay for extra AV on Windows. The free version or the plain old Windows Defender is enough.
