I've never been interested in a cruise on one of those huge ships - sounds like my idea of Hell. It looked like a nightmare even before the ship broke down, jam-packed with partying people, definitely not the way I'd want to spend a vacation. Then there was a fire in the engine room, which was put out quickly, but there was too much damage to restart the engines - which meant that there was also no electricity except for some emergency lights, and electricity was needed to operate the toilets. So then, 4,000 people were peeing in the showers and pooping in red plastic biohazard bags. There was hardly any food because there was no refrigeration. To settle people down they opened the bars, but then people got drunk and started fighting. Finally tugboats showed up to tow the ship to shore, but turning it caused it to tip and the sewage to slosh around all over the floors so people were wading in raw sewage. So what started out as my idea of Hell became exponentially hellish, and now I really, really don't ever want to set foot on a cruise ship.
