3. When I was 7 years old I actually met Jayne Mansfield in 1962 before her death.

She was performing at a nightclub called the Glen Casino in Williamsville, NY that summer. Glen Casino had a small but vibrant amusement park on the same grounds as the nightclub and Mansfield made an appearance there to sign autographs. My dad and my uncle stood in line to meet her with me at their side begging for money to buy more amusement ride tickets. As they we’re getting her autograph she noticed me and said “what a cute little boy” and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek! I’ll forget that day and the tall pretty woman in the tight white dress with the big red bow. My dad, when he was alive, loved telling that story.
