I always tell the story about why I am not bothered by gory things or tales. I just relate how I grew up being served spaghetti and hearing about head trauma.

That tends to... desensitize... one a bit. Say what you want, but, in the end, I see it as a good thing. The ability to remain centered when one comes up on a bad car accident, for example, is a very good thing to have. I have stopped more than a few times to help others irregardless of the injuries or the visuals. I still stop if I see an accident. Not to film, but to render aid. I refuse to ignore suffering when it is right in front of me. I also have no patience for those who are more concerned with clicks than human beings.
