6. Sweet potato waffles

Sunday

with real maple syrup, bacon, basted eggs, strawberries.

The eggs were good, but not as good as the eggs my grandma, who raised chickens, or mom, who got eggs from our neighbor who raised chickens, would cook ... with the yolks looking pink once the bacon fat had been spooned over enough to cook the film of white over it.
