1. That 30mph is a little bit misleading

They may be able to go 30mph on a long straight, but on a track, they will not be close to that speed, not on turns, much less jumps.

It's a beautiful sport. The best for me. But I'm biased bc I used to race when I was young.

For me the biggest problem happened when the industry went from 2 stroke bikes to 4 stroke bikes. What's the difference? To go fast on a two stroke you need to work harder, you develop better skills in the process. With the modern 4 strokes, going faster is much easier which leads to overconfidence and more crashes.
